| Australia enjoyable film: December Boys about childhood. Four orphans spend a vacation by the sea in the early 70s. Good movie: December Boys comedy about three young boys and Radcliffe, and enjoying a break with a religious family. The title comes from the fact that the four were all born in the last month of the year. Several characters appear in the story: the grouchy fisherman; cool biker who is on his work, the local Radcliffe sexy blonde girl who teaches kissing, and the friendly old couple. Unlike other recent films from Australia this is not an evil character of depression. But what makes the DivX film December Boys was that there were too many subplots: the great fish, adoption issues, fisheries horse (!), Poor women, and the secret use of the motorcycle. None of these stories were developed enough. Add in an exaggerated score, too nice characters, swooping and photography - which gives the impression of a business too big for so little history. December Boys is a pleasant and well-intentioned, but the movie: December Boys is nothing special. |
| Established in the late 60s, December Boys is a beautiful, moving story of adolescence and neglect with the great, wonderful Australian as a backdrop, unraveled in the same vein as Stand By Me. "What's the big deal about their parents anyway?" Maps (Daniel Radcliffe) replica of his summer adventure Lucy (Teresa Palmer). Maps is the oldest of four orphans who are sent on a beach holiday with an old couple. Misty (Lee Cormie) is the youngest and the art of farming. Sparks (Christian Byers) is good with mechanical things, while Spit (James Fraser) is named for what it does best. Have given an idea of what the lives have been orphaned as a whole, has an idea where Maps "trend of thought is. They have survived so far without parents, and have had to call each other family growing up. This only becomes more obvious as they interact with their host family for neighbors, and to receive an emotional competition for possible adoption to test the limits of their brotherhood. Unfulfilled expectations are shared by all characters, regardless of their age and situation, and this is the main theme that empathizes with the public. It is heartbreaking to see their faces light up with hope in the possibility of winning the lottery of the parents is transmitted only once and again. Rude awakenings and rejection are issues that most people can relate to after years of hard, but for children to know intimately at that age is what makes the seriousness of December Boys Tearjerker is. |
